As multiplayer gamers, no matter what game we play, we face a large number of cheaters. And unfortunately, even an early development game like Deadlock was not spared. After suffering from cheating issues, there is some good and hilarious news. The new Deadlock patch notes are here and bring with them a hilarious anti-cheat system that gives them their own medicine.
More than just a permanent ban
The new anti-cheat system Deadlock brings a new anti-cheat system. Thanks to this anti-cheat, once the system detects a cheater in the game, it will notify the players and take a vote. The vote will allow players to choose between a permanent ban of the cheater or a permanent ban after a sweet little punishment.
Yes, this new anti-cheat system will not only permanently ban the cheater, but this will also turn the cheater into a frog and make him suffer the whole game. In a publication @poggu__ shared this feature where you see the POV of a cheater like a frog.
I’m not going to lie, this new system is hilarious. Although it may sound hilarious, we can sense how annoying it can be for a cheater to play an entire game like this. Considering that they will be banned anyway after this slow torture, it gives joy to people who constantly face such cheaters in the game.
With this fun change, the developers of Deadlock add something for the cheaters themselves; a taste of their own medicine. Although it is impossible to deal with these people’s cheating, at least innocent players will have a good time chasing the frog.
Cheating and Valve are old friends. Especially when it comes to games like Counter-Strike. Another user @TheSnipingSnake shared an article where they talked about anti-cheat in Deadlock and CS2. Since Deadlock is only a game in development, this decision is welcomed by all players.
Another user jokingly posted that Valve should also take note and do something similar in CS2. In post X, user @vaccoin says: “A former VAC developer for Counter-Strike planned to turn cheaters into chickens 🐔”. Although the post is a joke, it shows that the community appreciates the developers of Deadlock for doing something about cheaters while their ancestor Counter-Strike is still suffering.
Good news, Valve has added the first anti-cheat detection system to Deadlock. This gives players the opportunity to directly ban the cheater or transform him into a frog 🐸

While it’s a funny thing, we need to recognize widespread cheating. Despite being so early, Deadlock is already experiencing major cheating issues. YouTuber Middlejonas shared a video in which he observes a cheater with an aim-bot and a follower.
The comments section of the video also suggests that the cheating issue is an ongoing affair. As the community continues to notify developers, the new anti-cheat system shows that they are listening.
With cheaters now turning into frogs for their Prince Charming, Deadlock can be much safer for fair players. What do you think about the new anti-cheat turning cheaters into frogs in Deadlock? Do you think all games should punish cheaters and give them a taste of their own medicine? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
