Gojo was the most powerful sorcerer in the Jujutsu world, but despite his six eyes and immense power, he was defeated and killed by Sukuna in Chapter 236. Since then, all the fans have been hoping for his return. Well, the blindfolded sorcerer made a surprising entrance in Chapter 260, but later, we learned that Yuta Okkotsu used his body and techniques to defeat the King of Curses. Well, now that Yuji has finally put an end to Sukuna’s story in Chapter 268, the spoilers for the upcoming chapter have revealed that Yuta and Higuruma are alive. So, based on the events mentioned in the JJK Chapter 269 spoilers, fans have high hopes for Gojo’s revival.
Yuta Okkutsu is back in his original body
You have to appreciate how Yuta left Rika behind and contributed to the fight against Sukuna. He jumped into the battlefield in the most unthinkable way, by taking over the body of his sensei, Gojo Satoru. He left fans confused as our favorite character was finally back. However, unfortunately, our happiness was short-lived as Gege took no time to reveal the truth. It was quite disheartening to see Gojo as a puppet.
In Chapter 268, Sukuna finally got what he deserved, and Yuji should be thanked for that. The boy worked hard to improve his skills, and the previous chapter proved it. After a brief hiatus, the JJK manga returns with Chapter 269 featuring the aftermath, and the first spoilers have already surfaced.
We meet all the surviving wizards, including Yuta, who is back in his own body. He also doesn’t hesitate to open up and say that he can’t control the pressure of the gifted wizard’s body. So he used Kenjaku’s TC and returned to his original body, which Rika helped him keep intact.
Gojo Must Return in Jujutsu Kaisen
Gege Akutami is an unpredictable author, and so far no one has been able to figure out what he wants from the characters and where he wants the story to go.
After making us believe that our beloved sensei was gone and not coming back, the new chapter of JJK has once again raised our hopes because not only Yuta but Higuruma also survived, so fans will also have hope for Gojo’s return.
Higuruma is not ahead of Gojo in terms of their powers or the importance they have in the story. So, it wouldn’t make sense for Higurama to come back and Gojo to stay dead. Also, Jujutsu Kaisen will end with chapter 271and Gege is currently focusing on Tengen’s story, hinting at the possibility of a JJK part 2 (a fan can dream, come on).
Tengen’s story, or his entire story, is of great importance in the world of JJK, and it hasn’t been explored much in the story. We only learned a little about it in the Hidden Inventory arc. But now, with only a few chapters left before the end of the manga, Gege has decided to focus on Tengen.
So, many fans believe that Gege is preparing for the second part of Jujutsu Kaisen by bringing back characters like Yuta and Higurama and focusing on Tengen’s story. If this happens, it would be wise for the author to bring back Gojo Satoru, as the sequel project would be incomplete without our sensei.
If that doesn’t happen and Gojo doesn’t come back, fans will always remember that Gege decided to go the extra mile to bring a character like Higurama (still considered a side character) back from the dead, but let a very popular and important character die.
Regardless, this is simply what the community expects to happen in the manga, but as of now, there is no confirmation of Gojo’s return. However, one may wonder why is there no mention of Gojo’s body in the manga so far. Since Yuta is now back in his own body, someone will surely mention Gojo in the final chapter.
Either that or Gojo will come back to life and the community will stop using words like “heartless” Or “cruel” for Gege. Only time will tell what will happen in the story.
