Although Apple’s new Siri, powered by Apple Intelligent technology, has not yet arrived, the company has given a sneak peek of the new interface with the iOS 18.1 beta. However, for some iOS 18.1 users, Hey Siri is still not working and many have complained on platforms like X to express the inconvenience caused by this strange bug.
Siri is not available for many users of iOS 18.1 beta

If you are running iOS 18.1 beta on your iPhone or iPad, don’t bother trying to access Siri, as you will see the message “Siri is not available. Connect to Wi-Fi to complete the Siri download.” on your device. When you tap on the error message, you will see that your iPhone is trying to download support for Apple Intelligence model processing. However, it is a dead end, as the download never seems to be complete and Siri does not work.
Some of our iPhones at Beebom running iOS 18.1 are experiencing the Siri not working issue. However, not all devices are affected.
Not only the long press of the side button, but Apple Intelligence’s new Type to Siri feature also doesn’t work for users running iOS 18.1 beta. With the beta update, it is impossible to run Siri on iPhones and iPads.
Fortunately, Macs running macOS Sequoia 15.1 beta do not face any Siri unavailability issues.
How to Fix Siri Not Available Issue
So far, Apple has not acknowledged the issue and we are yet to see the company rolling out a fix. If Siri is not working for you, we recommend downgrading to the stable version of iOS 17 from the iOS 18 beta if you want to use Siri on your iPhone or iPad. As of now, there is no workaround to fix this issue. We even tried turning off our iPhone and turning it back on again, but the issue persists.
