Victor Aguilar is a teenager who comes from a poor neighborhood in Gotham City. He has a thin physique and suffers from a speech impediment. Despite this, the boy has great aspirations, and that is why Oswald Cobblepot trusts him and takes him as a protégé. The teenager crossed paths with Oswald while he was trying to steal the mobster’s car with his friends. Just as Oswald was about to shoot him, the boy pleaded for his life. Oz then decided to use the boy as a pawn, but later, Vic also showed interest in being his sidekick.

The pilot episode of the TV series showed a strange bond between the two. The one whom Oswald was hesitant to trust at first showed his true potential at the end of the episode. He cut off Alberto’s finger and made Sofia believe that it was Salvator who killed her brother. In doing so, Vic directed all the heat towards Salvator and saved Penguin from Sofia’s wrath. Well, it seems like he will prove to be a powerful character who will bring great things to the table.

The 26-year-old American actor Rhenzy Feliz plays the fictional character Victor Aguilar. This is not the first time the boy appears in a project based on comics. He made an appearance in Runaways, an original television series based on a team of Marvel superheroes. In addition, he lends his voice to the animated film Camilo Madrigal d’Encanto.

Is Victor Aguilar a DC character?

No, Victor Aguilar is not a character based on DC Comics; in fact, he is an original character created specifically for the television series The Penguin. The DC gangster has been seen taking on several individuals as allies, and in his standalone series, he is seen taking Victor to his cause.

What’s interesting is that the show’s creators wanted to reflect the dynamics of Batman and Robin’s relationship through Oz and Vic. In the comics, Robin has always been Batman’s sidekick. Of course, there has been more than one character who has held the title of Robin; however, Victor is the direct inspiration for Jason Todd. Like Victor, Jason also lost everything in Gotham City. Batman found him when the boy was trying to steal something from Bruce Wayne’s car. Similarly, Oz takes Vic under his umbrella after the boy gets caught.
